Alpenföhn have continued the trend of naming their CPU coolers after famous mountains, the Matterhorn namesake originating from the Alpine mountain on the border between Switzerland and Italy. If mountain height is any indication of performance, then the Matterhorn (4478m) should be the Nordwand’s (2866m) worthy successor. Geography lesson aside, the Matterhorn is also sold under the Deepcool Gamer Storm branding. Co-developed by both Alpenföhn and Deepcool, it promises a product engineered for the ultimate performance. Those outside of Europe will be more familiar with the Deepcool brand as Alpenföhn only operate in Europe. Alpenföhn themselves are a branch of EKL that targets gamers and enthusiasts in the consumer market rather than OEM solutions which the parent company focuses primarily on.
Let’s see what Alpenföhn have to say about their Matterhorn heatsink:
Alpenföhn enters the next level and presents the “Matterhorn” .The brand new 120mm tower cooler. Highest manufacturing quality, noble matt black finish as well as multiple features make this cooler the best solution for any application.
