Tt eSPORTS @ CeBIT 2011

Tt eSPORTS is of course Thermaltake's sub division which is focussed on bringing gaming related peripherals to consumers. It was at last years CeBIT that Thermaltake launched this new brand. Back then they had an impressive array of new products, and this year Tt eSPORTS were again hoping to monopolize with 3 significant product insights.

Black Element Gaming Mouse

Following on from the popular Azurues, Tt eSPORTS have designed a new mouse called the Black Element. This has a different shape and much higher DPI theshold delivered by the laser sensor. With the Black Element up to 6500 DPI can be taken advantage of and of course, this mouse will feature extensive driver software to enable up to 45 macro keys within 5 game profiles. Below are some of the features:

- 6500 DPI laser sensor
- 45 Macro keys - 5 profiles
- 5 customisable colour modes
- 128KB onboard memory - plug n play
- Weight adjustment
- On-screen display for profile indication/function
- Gold plated USB connector
- Braided cable

The Black Element will be available very soon with the retail price of around £60

Challenger Ultimate Keyboard

We saw the Challenger and Challenger Pro gaming keyboards launched last year and this year there is an upgraded version with 14 macro keys rather than 10 on the Pro, giving a total of 5 profiles and 70 macro keys. With the Ultimate we also now have built-in audio jacks for microphone and headphone. So essentially the Ultimate doesn't differ in physical appearance, just some slight upgrades to its functionality.

- 64K memory - 5 game profiles 70 macro keys
- Audio jacks
- 256 individual colours - backlight

The Challenger Ultimate is available now and is priced at approximately £60.

Meka - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Tt eSPORTS are keen to move into mechanical keyboards as the demand for this type of keyboard is now very high. Gamers are keen to invest in something that is more robust and that will endure lots of finger bashing (or even fist bashing!) So to start things off Tt eSPORTS have launched the Meka. The Meka features Cherry MX black switches which are highly regarded for their quality and response. Below are the specifications/features for the Meka.

- 1000Hz polling rate
- Cherry MX Black switches
- Anti-ghost key design
- 2 x USB ports for other devices
- Smart cable management
- 1.8m braided cable with gold plated USB connector

At the moment there are 3 versions of this keyboard planned. Meka, Meka G1 and Meka G1 Unit. The G1 having audio jacks and palm rest, and the G1 Unit having all these features plus macro and lighting functionality.

The Meka will be available very soon and will be priced at around £110 which is very conservative for a mechanical keyboard of its calibre.
