Icy Dock MB982SPR-2S Dual 2.5 to 3.5 SATA SSD/HDD Convertor with Raid
Introduction
We have a new product from Icy Dock on our bench table. Icy Dock are an experienced long standing company. It's roots go back to 1994 but the well known Icy Dock brand did not appear until 2004. Within a couple of years that name had become widely recognised and started receiving awards acknowledging the quality and performance offered by the company's products.
Today we'll be looking at their dual 2.5" to 3.5" SATA drive convertor the snappily titled MB982SPR-2S. A tiny enclosure that not only accommodates dual 2.5" SDD/HDD but also packs an integrated hardware raid controller that allows striping, mirroring and combined storage. Further to that the enclosure offers full compatibility with both PC and MAC systems making it a very flexible prospect indeed.
