MSI 870A Fuzion Power Edition Motherboard Review
Introduction
Today we are looking at another of MSI's 'Military Class' products... the 870A Fuzion Power Edition. A board that not only packs high quality components but the very same Lucid Hydralogix chip that we've seen in the excellent ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme as well as the HIS HD6970 2GB IceQ MIX recently reviewed by Rich.
Whilst being a well known component manufacturer for a while only fairly recently have MSI made a very good name for themselves creating high quality and high end performance components. Their Frozer range of GPU's in particular have acquired many accolades recently as have many of their high end motherboard designs such as this.
This feature rich design is almost certainly aiming to provide much of the performance of high end board like ASUS Crosshair series but at less than half the price of the most expensive!
The AMD 870 chipset should deliver great performance and in conjunction with the boards SB850 southbridge offer SATA 6.0Gbps and USB 3.0 connectivity. A stable and capable power regulation and delivery system is also onboard meaning the 870A Fuzion Power Edition should also clock stably and effectively too.
