QPAD 5K L.E Review

Introduction

Product on Review: QPAD 5K L.E Laser Gaming Mouse
Manufacturer and Sponsor: QPAD
Street Price £64.79

QPAD have released some very good designs of late. Indeed, the QPAD MK-85 mechanical gaming keyboard we reviewed received our very highest accolades so it should go without saying that QPAD know a thing or two about producing World class, quality gaming peripherals. Today we get our hands on the 5k L.E (Limited Edition) gaming mouse; a mouse that on paper at least looks to take the Kink of Kings gaming mouse mantle.

The 5K L.E, as the name suggests is a limited edition version of the 5K. The big selling point of the 5k L.E is the next generation gaming-grade laser sensor hailing from the halls of Avago - the A9800. The new laser allows a ridiculously high DPI of 8200 CPI capable of delivering a sample rate of 12000 fps. Not the highest we have sampled I grant you. The SteelSeries Sensei delivered an effective 11400 CPI however this CPI was achieved by the on-board ARM processor meaning the Sensei's physical limit was in fact 5700 CPI. The QPAD 5K L.E betters this and hits a massive 8200 CPI without the need for additional processing. So while the QPAD has the highest physical CPI, the Sensei the highest theoretical CPI, the 5K L.E can hit it's CPI without degradation of accuracy and precision.

Having one of the worlds best Gaming bands on-board - Team Dignatas, should be proof enough that QPAD are one of, if not the no#1 choice for gaming peripherals but if that is not adequate and you want out take on their latest flagship mouse then read on as we give it the Vortez treatment.

About QPAD

QPAD built its success on a grassroots commitment to the gaming community. Like you, we thrive in the madness of competition and embrace the free spirit of gaming. Our sponsorship of the Q Tour, communities, cups, tournaments, teams and LAN parties reflects this commitment. The knowledge we?ve gained has fed into our development of high quality products that have a great performance and given many a winning edge.
