ZOTAC GTX 760 SLI Review

Conclusion

The ZOTAC GTX 760 is a good mid-range card. What impressed us most was the SLI capability of the GTX 760s which took apart the GTX 780 and equalled the mighty GTX TITAN. Separately, the GTX 760s have an R.R.P of £209 which is some £30 cheaper than the HD 7950 so given the choice, if we gamed at 1920x1008p like the majority of gamers, the GTX 760 would be the card to go for. Put two together at a cost of £418 and you have a gaming setup that is not only cheaper than the best fastest single core GPU available (GTX TITAN), it matches it and even betters it on occasions!

While we expect to see many variations of cooling design for the GTX 760, today's sample was simply a reference design which niether impressed nor let us down. Yes it is basic but it does the job fine. We can only assume though that with better cooling, overclocks would increase thus truly unleashing the power of this card.

As it stands though, the GTX 760 offers good value in singular form and great value when SLI'd. We were stuck on an award for this card because on the one hand (SLI) it is a fun setup that compares favourably with regard to price. On the other hand, gamers who want to add filters and up the gaming details, the GTX 760 may start to fall a little short. We therefore think that our silver is a fair appraisal of the product reviewed but we will also add the value award because for the money, having two of these cards in SLI will be hard to beat.

To summarise
The ZOTAC GTX 760 offers good value for money and excellent performance at popular resolutions. SLI them and the performance increases are fantastic. You don't even have to sell a kidney!

Pros
+ Good Value
+ Good FPS performance
+ Excellent SLI capability

Cons
- Begins to struggle at high resolutions
- Basic cooling
