Nice to see the Corsair SP2500's in this group review. Iv'e been a big proponent of them since their release when I bought them. They have since had a nice price reduction which make them an even better buy now. Many people (audiophiles?) have argued that these are just glorified PC speakers and will never match a set of studio/bookshelf speakers and an amp. Well yeah, you can go down that road but you won't get better for your money spent than that of the SP2500's. I paid £50 more for them than their current price and still feel I got good value for money!)

As my comparison my previous sets of speakers have been the Creative Gigaworks T20 Series II and after those the Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1's. Both of those sets had their flaws and are what I DO consider PC speakers. Corsairs are in another league.

Nice review and I hope some will start to take the Corsairs a little bit more serious after reading it. They really do deserve all the credit they get here.

As an extra note.. If anybody does buy the Corsairs there is software from them to download that adjusts profiles and gives even more performance than just "out-the-box" Worth the effort and you have that great Corsair peace of mind after sales service thrown in to boot!

Some interesting comments there Richie. I didn't know about the software/profiles thing. I'm going to check that out - I'm using the SP2500's for my personal rig, I was that impressed with them I just had to swap my old ones out!!

Yeh excellent review mate and a very much needed one!

I was very skeptical about the corsair SP's because so many people rave about them but I just thought that it may have been one of those cases where everyone just jumped on the bandwagon and didnt actually compare them to other speakers before they raved on about them.

But this has convinced me that they are the real deal and if I do get some new speakers these will deffo be the ones!!!
