Excellent in depth review as always, Im a big fan of Alphenfohn's coolers and their looks/design's.
And on paper this should like you say be better than it is. I think it may be to do with there contact plate design being convex and not so much direct contact as other coolers.

Still a great cooler for looks and ability to use all memory slots but does fall short on performance. I would like them to revise their contact plate maybe or whatever the niggle is but keep their design's/ stlye and come back with a cooler that can beat the competition.

Yeah it's weird. The base isn't too bad really, I mean no worse that other coolers but something seems to hamper performance. I did so many retests and remounts to make sure I wasn't missing something but the results didn't change. All they did were validate my original results with a 1C error or less. Shame because I really like the brand. At least their naming scheme opens it up for an Everest...

Lol yeh, theres obviously something minor in their designs holding them back slightly. Hopefully they can find the niggle and come out on top.
