Thanks for the review mate! Good looking headset, but I am also confused why they would use a battery solution as opposed to USB, but like you say, i'm sure they have their reasons. The active noise cancelling sounds like it should be a good feature but then again, unless your gaming at a LAN or something, I don't think the noise should be that obtrusive without the ANC? I definately like the inclusion of a carry case, that's something I wish mine came with (Roccat Kave) |

I agree this one is a good looker indeed. One thing that is paramount for me is comfort as I seem to get very achy ears quickly when wearing headsets, they look quite comfy. Some fantastic shots of this headset in the review, nice work Tony! |

They do look very nice, have always liked ROG branding and design scheme. Comfort is always an issue for me with any form of headphone when wearing glasses, was this tested at all? Another concern I have with 'gaming' headsets is they never tend to be of good build or sound quality compared to real headsets. I am very much into Audiophile grade equipment such as Grado and Sennheiser headphones these tend to be far superior in quality then gear branded for gamers with little in price difference. |

@ BFM this headset does have passive ANC so its hard to tell if the ear cups are 'that well sealed' or if simply there isnt much sound leaking in. but there is no 'hiss' with the ANC switched off and honestly it does a good job blocking most noise anyway. When you have music/sound or any audio playing it is fairly difficult to hear anything externally. eg. I never heard my phone ringing right next to me but felt it vibrating. Quote:
I can try testing with glasses sometime today and get back to you. The memory foam is pretty forgiving but proof is in the pudding so to speak. Quote:

Just had an email with a good price on these headphones, I thought I would share it in this thread. If you would rather I put it in the deals section please let me know, or mods move it £58.90 including delivery @ Overclockers |

well just to report back about using them with glasses and can report that, for me, are still very comfortable. the memory foam really does the trick. unless you have thick framed glasses etc i dont think it would really interfere with the comfort of these headphones. |

Nice looking review, Tony. I do agree with you with regards to gaming headsets being more of a culture rather than the performance they bring to the table. |

Look at Beats headphones, there is much better quality headphones for cheaper but people are willing to pay the premium for the name and the design. Madness |
