Good review! Particularly like the look of that cooler - impressive results on temperature even when clocked! Seems a very decent and affordable offering from Gigabyte. gt |

A lot more will be added soon. I believe w3bbo only got the card yesterday but so far the content looks brilliant. And performance wise, it looks promising. |

Very nice overview and benchmarking of the GTX560. It looks to be a fairly reasonable mainstream part for those still with 1680*1050 that don't want to break the bank, but like the 560Ti there seems to be an enormous amount of overclocking headroom to take advantage of with a quality cooling solution. It's interesting however that it can't really keep up with the ATi 6870 in the benchmarks you've included, which may mean that it'll need to be priced very aggressively to take advantage of the £140-180 bracket. I'd love to see how well it can perform in a wider selection of games. FWIW, Scan is listing the Gigabyte GTX-560 OC as £167.47, which is pretty much middle-of-the-pack as far as the range goes. With the very good Asus 560Ti DirectCuII at £175 I'm tempted to say that the GTX560 range is a little bit to dear. Thanks for the review! P.S. quick note: the final "Click here and visit out forums" link points to the wrong thread. |

Yeah, I literally only had the card for a few hours to get the review written up and posted before the NDA was relaxed! It was a tight squeeze and a very long night (not good when I had to attend a national conference this morning)but thanks to help from Helios1234 and Mishima, we managed to get you a taster as soon as we were allowed to submit the information. I intend to run a full compliment of benchmarks over the coming days to give the card a more thorough review and amend the review as required. Thus far though I am really impressed with it, especially the cooler and overclocking! |

Big thanks to Rich and Sahil for team-effort on this one. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the results - what is up already is a great effort in the time that you guys had. |

Brilliant work so far, you've covered a lot in not much time at all. The card looks like a great reliable mid-range card if you're looking for a long term workhorse and not always on the bleeding edge of things. It compares well to the AMD equivalent but in the nvidia range I'm not sure how much sense it makes, a price drop on the Ti version may have been better? I'm not sure. Looking forward to seeing some more results and see what compliment of games/benchmarks you're using. |

Isn`t that cooler a bit...too big? The price is too high if you ask me. A 160-170$ price range would have been much better |

For a dual slot cooler, it would be no bigger than a reference design. The performance you get for the price is actually good value. Obviously, we would all like prices to be cheaper but a custom cooled GPU that overclocks extremely well will always demand a premium I'm afraid. No doubt in the near future prices will fall, especially when demand waivers and the next round of GPUs hit the market as is usually the case. |
