Microlab's set of two floor speakers are certainly impressive; the question is how much bang for the buck do they bring to the HTPC market?

I was sceptical at first since allot of PC reviewers have been reviewing these (most who don't know the first thing about speakers) and the way most people in the PC enthusiast community think the Corsair sp2500's are gods gift because they dont really know about audio.

But these for the price they are actually look pretty darn good.

Nice review

I know what you mean Plod.

This is a great review Tim, you analysed the SOLO's very well. These would look great next to a TV setup!!

They're 55cm, a little over half a metre, tall. Hence why I've labelled them 'floor-standing' rather than bookshelf speakers; you'd need pretty hefty bookshelves if you wanted the SOLO7C's on them
