Leaked GTX 650Ti Specifications Raise GTX650 Questions

Based on the new GK106 GPU from NVIDIA, the GTX 650Ti supposedly features 960 CUDA cores, almost 600 more than the GTX 650 specs leaked yesterday.

Also unlikely to be the reference cooler for the GTX 650Ti

There's some curious news in the pipeline today for budget gamers as the long-awaited GK106 rears it's head in the form of the GTX 650Ti. Donanimhaber have done their usual sterling work to bring details of the upcoming budget gaming card, which are as follows:

* 28nm GK106 GPU
* 1 GB and 2 GB memory options
* 960 Shaders/CUDA cores
* 192-bit wide GDDR5 memory bus

Yep, that's 960 CUDA cores, fully 576 more cores than the GTX 650 and representing a huge performance differential. If the spec's bear out the SKU's will probably cause some confusion as consumers buy a GTX 650 expecting a performer close to a 650Ti, but probably get a card which is vastly inferior.

The 650Ti should appear at the <£170 price point, pitching it against the 7850 come its Q4-2012 projected release date.
