DonaimHaber have leaked a set of slides from an AMD product update presentation for March that show a whole wealth of information on the new dual-GPU AMD Radeon HD 6990 that Vortez talked about just yesterday, being released in only one week's time.

These slides are not confirmed as real, and may be a fabrication. It's clear that someone must have gone to some length if that is the case. Let's assume they're real and dive into the world of speculation:

There are some bold claims and very interesting data, I'll leave fans to digest the specifics, but the points of note are:

Two versions of the card, Normal and 'OC', differing in clockspeed from 830MHz to 880MHz respectively. A switch-able configuration using the Dual-BIOS on the card, to give higher core speed and voltage.
The 'OC' version sports a massive 450W TDP, confirming the extra power requirements we hinted at yesterday.
67% faster than a GTX 580.
Almost perfect scaling for CrossfireX in certain configurations.

The most interesting leaked slides are shown below:

Lots to look at and see. We have no indication on price yet, and depending on what Nvidia have in the GTX 590, it could be a much closer fight than we thought. One thing is quite clear - AMD are putting their top performance on the table.

Vortez will share their more detailed comments on these developments later today. Be sure to check out the forum link at the bottom of the page and tell us your thoughts on this.
