BitFenix reveal new products at Computex 2011 Recon, Outlaw, Merc & More

News Editor: David Mitchelson Date: 03-06-2011 [ Print | 7 comment(s) ]  Discuss in Forums

BitFenix continues to deliver more mid-tower cases to the enthusiast and gamer with the revelation of two new cases at Computex 2011. Plus some custom designed Shinobis and a new fan and an electronic fan controller

Some interesting pictures have just come through of some new products on the horizon from our friends over at BitFenix. Two new cases, a new fan series, an electronic fan controller and some custom edition Shinobis.

Whilst BitFenix started their journey with the full tower case the Colossus, they are concentrating most of this year on developing mid-tower cases for the market. If previous cases like the Survivor and Shinobi are anything to go by we are certainly in for a treat. Enjoy the pictures!

Spectre Pro 230mm (Prototype) - high performance fan, focussing on performance rather than noise levels. Reinforced frame.

Recon - Fan Controller - Touch screen LCD screen, fit into drive bays - 6 channels (also connect to water-cooling pumps etc) Comes with an app that will allow customisation of fan speeds. Web based so you can tweak settings from another location.

That fan controller looks ridiculously good!

Some nice stuff there, I look forward to some reviews.

Looking at that white Shinobi there appears to be replacement mesh but in black.

It's in retail packaging which suggests we'll be able to buy different colours of mesh for the Shinobi.

Black + Red Shinobi anyone?

That's cool.

Tempted to give the Family my 690 II and keep the Shinobi for myself.

690 II or Shinobi?

That's quite a tough one really as they are both really good cases. I think the CM looks better though!

See I was thinking that the Shinobi looked a little nicer, but inside the 690 II had a bit more room and functionality.

Really is a tough one to call.

Huh. The Outlaw has an inverted motherboard design. Odd for the budget bracket, not that I'm complaining .

Really like the idea of the customisable Shinobi, hope it takes off as an idea.
