ECS launches its next generation LIVA Z mini PC ahead of the CES 2017. The ECS LIVA Z is a compact mini PC that fits in the palm of your hand. It features a lightweight construction and energy efficient performance. It packs a powerful hardware featuring the latest Intel Apollo Lake 14nm quad-core processor. The Apollo Lake processor offers 35% better computing performance and 45% better graphics performance compared to its predecessor Braswell processors. The Apollo Lake processor enables hardware-accelerated playback of HEVC/H.265 4K Ultra High-Definition video from hardware decoding of VP9 and HEVC codecs. The LIVA Z also features a lower power consumption under cooler and quieter operation thanks to the Apollo chip.

The LIVA Z has a dual DIMM channel for DDR3L memory supporting up to 16GB of memory with both slots populated. The LIVA Z also has support for M.2 drives offering transfer speeds of up to 10Gbit/s to further boost the speed and performance of the machine overall. The LIVA Z supports up to two 2.5-inch drives with SATA 6Gbps interface. The LIVA Z’s connectivity options include USB 3.0 Type-C port, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11AC/BT 4.0, COM ports and the basic set of I/O ports. The LIVA Z also supports the standard VESA mount so you can mount the mini PC behind your monitor for a tidier setup.
