EVGA Announces The GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR Edition

Today EVGA anounced the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR EDITION. Powered by 2,816 NVIDIA CUDA Cores and 6GBs of Vram, the 980 Ti VR EDITION delivers near unbeatable 4K performance, this Maxwell based core comes with a base clock of 1000 MHz and a boost of 1075MHz, and a texture fill rate of 176 GigaTexels/sec.

The EVGA GTX 980 Ti VR Edition doesn't come with an increased CUDA Core count or higher clock speed, but it comes with a rear facing HDMI 2.0 port. This will be able to drive a 4K display at 60Hz. The kit also comes with a 5.25" drive bay with front HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 giving you easy access to your VR device’s input. This will make it extremely easy to plug and unplug your headset, so you don't have to reach around to the rear of your computer.



The 2 choices from EVGA right now is a blower style card along with a ACX 2.0 fan option, which has improved cooling while remaining quite. Both come with an internal HDMI 2.0 port and the 5.25” drive bay with the front facing HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 plugs. A HDMI 2.0 Cable is already connected to the drive bay for easy installation.
