LG unveils 5-inch HD LCD screen
LG has announced that later this year it will release a new 5-inch LCD screen with a 1080p resolution! It also features a 440ppi pixel density which beats the 330ppi Retina display on the iPhone4 and 4S.
To have a resolution of 1920x1080 on a 5 inch screen is impressive in itself, however, the surprises don't stop there! The screen will also feature a wide viewing angle, faster touch response times and an improved colour palette. All this thanks to AH-IPS technology (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching). This makes me sad because a 5 inch screen is better (apart from size) than my PC's monitor!
The screen will be released in the second half of 2012 and will be on display in June at the SID 2012 Display Week show in Boston.
