Motherboard Prices to Hike by 10%

News Editor: Tony Le Bourne Date: 03-02-2012 [ Print | 2 comment(s) ]  Discuss in Forums

Due to costs of raw materials and labour there will be an increase in price of motherboards at the end of Q1 2012.

Spiralling costs of Labour in China combined with the international price increase for Copper will see companies such as ASUS and GIGABYTE increase the price of motherboards by 10% and 20% respectively after Q1 2012. The minimum wage for labour in China has risen by 8.62% while the cost of copper has reached $8600USD per tonne up from $8000USD per tonne. This follows price hikes of 5-10% from early 2011 due to material cost and again by 3-8% in April 2011 after the Japanese Tsunami.

lol might wanna take a look at some of the UK prices. I was fairly devastated to see the price of the cosmos 2, you can get it for about $320-$350, over here its priced at £350 which is about $550+

the sooner people wake up to the corruption in global economics and how it effects everyone everywhere the better it will be for everyone.
