MSI Reveal AMD 7000 Series Roadmap

News Editor: Tony Le Bourne Date: 31-01-2012 [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]  Discuss in Forums

MSI reveal the timeline as to when we can expect the remaining 7000 series family GPUs - 'Pitcairn', 'Cape Verde' and New Zealand'.

The slide reveals that there will be two 7700 series cards arriving in February and two 7800 series cards to follow come March. The HD 7990 'New Zealand' dual GPU card utilising two Tahiti cores, is expected early Q2 2012.

Just over two weeks till the Radeon HD 7750 and HD 7770 hit the market, this will generate a significant increase in interest within the market as they will be the 'mainstream' offering of the series that will be targeting the affordable 'sweet spot' between price and performance.
