QNAP Introduces 16-Bay Quad-Core and Cost-Effective TS-1635 Business NAS

QNAP Systems, Inc. introduces the cost-effective TS-1635 business NAS with 16-bays, quad-core processor and two powerful GbE SFP+ ports. The QNAP TS-1635 business NAS is aimed for small and medium businesses that use next-generation networks that demand high-speed file transfer. Using 10GbE solutions, QNAP reduces cost making the TS-1635 affordable.

The QNAP TS-1635 NAS is powered by an Annapurna Labs Alpine AL-514 quad-core 1.7 GHz ARM Cortex-A15 processor with either 4GB or 8GB of DDR3 memory which is upgradable to 16GB. The QNAP TS-1635 features dedicated 2.5-inch SSD drive bays for caching. The two 10GbE SFP+ ports delivers up to 1228 MB/s read and 874 MB/s write speeds. QNAP's Product Manager gives a statement below on the new TS-1635 business NAS.

The QNAP TS-1635 is ideal for small/medium businesses looking to build a secure private cloud. The TS-1635 supports cross-platform fire sharing for Mac, Windows and Linux/UNIX creating a centralized storage system. The QNAP TS-1635 comes in two variants; TS-1635-4G with 4GB of DDR3 memory and TS-1635-8GB with 8GB of DDR3 memory.
