The Murderbox MKII Limited Edition Case Costs $1200

News Editor: Craig Farren Date: 20-09-2012 [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]  Discuss in Forums

"Our goal was to create an ultra-refined, precision crafted case that boldly stands in a class by itself."
— Charles Harwood, President & Co-Designer

I bet you are reading this story to see whether or not I am in fact serious that a case is priced at $1200. If you do believe it (I'm not sure I believe it myself) you more than likely want to see what it looks like and whether it is made from gold and diamonds. Spending $1200 on an entire PC is out of the question for many, let alone on just the case. One thing is for sure, it looks fantastic!

Well I can confirm it is not made from gold, diamonds or any other rare earth material; nor does it have some futuristic or crazy look to it. It is, in fact, based around a very popular case. The Silverstone TJ07's unibody is the skeleton for the Murderbox MKII with just about every other aspect of the case being 'refined'. They've made the motherboard tray thicker, included a water cooling reservoir mount, custom-mad PCB's that function as a backplate for the drives, two easily accessible, isolated circuits for powering only pumps for filling and bleeding liquid cooling loops, incredible cable management and the list goes on.

Essentially what we have here is a very professional looking case that is incredibly functional. There are also a number of add-ons (equally as pricey) to enhance the case further if you so desire.

The Murderbox MkII is only Limited Edition and only 499 (why not 500?) will be made so if you want one you better get in quick! Hurry here to make your reservation.

Check out the source for more information, including the very impressive prototype gallery and discuss it in our forums. Are you going to get one? If so I hate you but please still post pictures of your build in our forums so others can hate you too.
