Closer Look
The ASUS ROG range of gaming peripherals have recently adopted the Mayan styling, mainly focused on the rubber grip areas and scroll wheels of their gaming mice. The Strix Evolve is no exception. The top of the mouse features a DPI switch key, which can be programmed with the settings.

The left and right-hand sides of the Evolve are identical in order to provide the fully-ambidextrous shape. It’s worth noting at this stage, that the buttons can be assigned independent functions, on each side of the mouse, through the software; the default is back/forwards.

The rear of the mouse features a curved design and an embossed section showing the Republic of Gamers branding, which is present on both of the modular lids that occupy the right-hand side of the mouse.

The underside of the mouse is host to four Teflon pads with the 7200DPI optical sensor placed in the centre.
