Thermaltake officially launched a new gaming brand this week at CeBIT 2010 Called TT eSports.

Thermaltake are famous for their brilliant cases, coolers and solid power supply units and have been producing quality computing goods for years. Due to the constant requests from end users for keyboards, mice and other gaming peripherals Thermaltake have answered by launched a new division that will focus primarily on personalized gaming, designing products that will compliment gamers.

You might think that such a new venture wouldn't have much funding behind it but let me tell you, the booth there at CeBIT was arrayed in a magnificent branding and an abundance of products. At only a few days old, the TT eSports had a cabinet armed with keyboards mice and headsets. It's clear that they are serious about this new venture and are pushing products forward without looking back. It's nice to see such enthusiasm. I hope they do well.

So taking a look at the products they had at the booth the first items we'll look at are the keyboards.

Challenger

First up is the Challenger keyboard. This keyboard has full macro support allowing you to program keys to combine actions, it has also a selection of keys that will function as multi-media buttons. In fact the macro keys are supported by 32KB of memory allowing up to 18 macro keys to be programmed. It also has a single USB port giving you some extra functionality.

On the keyboard we also have the option of being able to load up unique gaming profiles. Something which has been familiar with mostly gaming mice. In each of the top corners of the Challenger there are slots for securing in a mini fan which spins to relieve you of sweaty hands!

Challenger Pro

The Challenger Pro is a step up from the standard Challenger keyboard and will give gamers some additional features such as:

• Illuminated backlight
• 2x USB ports
• Macro buttons up the sides
• Multi-media keys
• 40KB of memory - up to 40 macro keys for programming
• Gaming profiles
• Backlight switch
• Optional fans
• Cable management - canals for tucking in cables
• 8 additional - removable key caps (red keys)

The list above clearly shows a rather large selection of features. Have they left anything out?!

These two products are the primary focus for TT eSports, there will be even more products launched soon including the 'Black' mouse, Shock, Shock One headsets and accessories.

TT eSports have got off to a good start, they have even started sponsoring gamers and are the official sponsor of the World Cyber Games 2010 (WCG). They are setting the targets high and with such enthusiasm and determination I'm certain they will do well.
