The Trigger AP allows the user to configure the keyboard to their exact needs. The first screen we are greeted with is the Storm CFG. Here we can select which profile (from 5) we wish to amend. With the profile selected we can then begin adjusting tailoring each key to whatever preference we like be it it's default function, initiate a macro, launch a program, perform a range of unctions or indeed disable that key altogether! Every single button can be utilised to perform a task with the only limitation being your memory as memorising what each key does after assigning a function to it is a task in itself!
Next up we see the profiles tab. Profiles can be saved to both the on-board ram or to the 'PC Ram'. Here is where you can copy, save or amend your chosen profiles. I nice little touch is the ability to back-up a profile allowing you to mess around with it but having the safety to restore it back to your favoured settings should you change something you do not like.
Lastly, we get to the Macro setup feature of the software. the macro creation page is very intuitive to use and can be as complex or easy to use as you prefer thanks to the stop, record, play back, 50% and 10% buttons. Delays between keystrokes can be configured and tweaked to perfection with the milliseconds between keystrokes clearly displayed in the monitor along with the action start and end time. Once a macro is created it can then be saved copied or deleted. All in all a very simple, yet easy to use macro creation tool that also take into account mouse button presses.
Let's move on to the performance testing section of the review...
