Closer Look: G.SKILL TridentZ

Cost: £125 GBP - $140 USD // Link: http://gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-16gtzb

TridentZ arrives in an eye-catching box which shows a depiction of the memory modules on the front. Inside, the DDR4 sticks are well-packaged in a plastic tray.

G.SKILL has done an excellent job with the astehtics on TridentZ. The actual PCB for the modules are black which is always a favourable choice for enthusiasts or gamers who take care with the styling of their system. The heatspreaders which sit over the modules feature a hairline brushed metal design with a lick of red bearing the G.SKILL insignia. The heatspreaders extend a further 5mm beyond the modules – something which you may need to keep in mind for large CPU cooler compatibility.

Flipping the TridentZ over we can see the specifications label which highlights all the technical details surrounding this kit. This is a 16GB kit which has a frequency of 3200MHz with CAS timings at CL-16-18-18-38. TridentZ also operates at 1.35v and since this is DDR4 our kit is XMP 2.0 ready.
