Ballistix Sport LT arrive in blister pack-type container which is transparent – the memory modules can be clearly seen encased within. On the front there is a label which details the capacity, speed and voltage. The serial number is included on there too, should you need to contact Crucial directly for any support.


Out of all the DDR4 being reviewed in today’s article the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT are probably the most attractive. This kit is pretty simple in its styling and yet it makes a huge impact. Crucial has given the Sports a unique white PCB which corresponds to the heatspreader too, the heatsinks are white in appearance and feature a camo design. This theme is likely to pair up with other components very well and if you’re trying to create a black/white contrasting configuration then you can’t go far wrong with the Ballistix Sport LT kit.


Over on the other side we have the serial numbers and some brief specifications. Our kit is 16GB (2x8GB) and operates at 2400MHz with CAS timings of 16-16-16-39 and voltage at 1.2v. So this is notably slower in frequency; the benefit being that the cost is significantly lower than the faster solutions. Later on, we’ll be investigating whether this is really makes much of a difference.
