Closer Look: Corsair Vengeance LPX

Cost: £210 GBP - $280 USD // Link: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/memory/vengeance-lpx-series

Vengeance LPX arrives in a small but attractive box. On the box there is a depiction of the memory and a listing of the capacity and frequency in the top-right corner.

Those who have seen Corsair’s Vengeance low-profile memory kits in the past will instantly recognise LPX. This kit makes use of low-profile heatspreaders which are available in a variety of colours, our kit comes with a black livery – including a black PCB. Following such a simplistic design means that LPX will comfortably blend in with the rest of the components in any system and create no CPU cooler compatibility issues due to the height dimensions.

Over on the reverse of the modules there is a specifications label which provides us with the part number, serial number and such things as the capacity, frequency and CAS timings.

Our LPX kit is 32GB (2x16GB) and operates at 3000MHz with CAS timings of 15-17-17-35 and voltage of 1.35v. So, out of the kits we’re testing today this is the largest capacity but in between the slower Crucial kit and faster G.SKILL kit. Over the page we’ll begin our testing to reveal the performance results that can be had.
