Haswell features new AVX2 instructions and although these extensions are not widely used by applications just yet, in the near future we expect them to be utilised by applications. As is typical of microprocessors nowadays, Haswell has an integrated graphics processor (IGP). This is the next iteration, namely Intel HD 4600 and allows for Bluray playback and light/casual gaming.
