MONTECH has taken a slightly different route with the TG3, creating a mid-tower chassis that puts the focus firmly on presentation without turning the whole thing into an exercise in excessive RGB and tempered glass. The MONTECH TG3 combines a clean, contemporary exterior with a distinctive stepped interior, giving the system inside a little more visual depth and providing additional space for displaying components or decorative pieces. Large tempered-glass panels naturally make the hardware the star of the show, while the ARGB illumination integrated into the PSU shroud adds some colour when required. It is a design that should appeal to those wanting a showcase build, but without the case itself demanding more attention than the hardware.
Underneath the aesthetics, the TG3 has a fairly comprehensive specification. It supports ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, including reverse-connector designs such as GIGABYTE Project STEALTH, ASUS BTF and MSI Project Zero. Graphics cards up to 430mm can be installed, while CPU coolers up to 180mm are supported, and MONTECH provides four fans as standard, including the GF360 U REV side-mounted intake and GF120 U rear exhaust. The single-frame construction of the GF360 U REV helps keep cabling under control, while the chassis can accommodate up to nine fans in total and radiators up to 360mm at the top.
The TG3 also brings a sensible collection of practical features, including two USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, a headset connection, power and dedicated lighting controls on the front I/O. Removable dust filters are fitted at the top and bottom, while the seven-slot PCIe layout and support for power supplies up to 250mm provide plenty of flexibility for a modern performance system. Storage support is more modest, with room for one 3.5-inch drive and two 2.5-inch drives, although this should be more than adequate for many current builds.
