Clearance – Water cooling, Cable Mangement

The water cooling options within Primo are definitely a highlight with this case. It has a multitude of orientations available for those wanting to go down the water or liquid cooling route. Phanteks have produced a video demonstrating the different installation regions available:

The video above details all of the available options inside Primo but we have chosen to show common areas using popular hardware.

At the top of Primo, the case has enough space and mounting holes for including a 480mm radiator – below we installed a Phobya G-Charger 360mm. This is radiator is 6cm thick and still has enough clearance for the top of the motherboard.

Popular ALC offerings such as Corsair H100 will fit at the top also.

At the bottom of Primo, again up to 480mm radiators can be installed – the HDD cages need to be removed though. Without removing the HDD cages our Phobya G-Charger 240mm can fit and cooling fans on both sides can be fitted since the motherboard is such a long distance away.

On the outer edge of the HDD cage there are mounting holes allowing fans and radiators to be attached. Unfortunately our 6cm thick Phobya G-Charger would not fit in this area but the Corsair H100 would fit.

Thinner radiators fit on the edge of the HDD cage

In terms of cable management clearance, there is lots of space behind the motherboard tray – especially in the cavity where the PSU resides.

Directly behind the motherboard tray where most of the cables are routed, there is approximately 3cm which is more than generous amount.
