Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3 Motherboard @ Benchmark Reviews
"Along with AMD's launch of the Phenom II and Athlon II processor families this year, we've also witnessed a steady shift in focus from their AM2+/DDR2 platform to a full AM3/DDR3 platform. The good news is that these newer AM3 processors support both DDR2 and DDR3 memory, allowing consumers to upgrade without replacing their whole system. Still, that leaves many wondering if they're missing out by not making the jump to DDR3 memory. To help answer that question, today Benchmark Reviews puts Gigabyte's DDR2-based MA790X-UD4P motherboard to the test."

Thermaltake ISGC Fan 12 120MM Fan @ DragonSteelMods
"Today I figured why not take a look at another Thermaltake product, this time it's a fan, while it might not be as exciting as the BlacX I looked at yesterday, it's still a good product. The fan is a new design by Thermaltake, they took cues from other companies and basically re-designed this fan from the ground up. It's called the ISGC 12, and it features a unique fan blade design to keep things quiet but yet promotes good airflow, it also features an in-line speed controller and comes with silicone fasteners to further keep things quiet. I've put the ISGC up against three other fans I've got on hand for comparison, so read on to see how the Thermaltake stacks up..."

EVGA GeForce GTX 275 Superclocked Edition Review @ Hi Tech Legion

EVGA GeForce GTX 275 Superclocked Edition: Single, Dual and Tri SLI Review @ Hi Tech Legion
"In this review, I will be benchmarking the GTX275 Superclocked Edition just like we do for all graphics card reviews as a single card, but I will also be focusing in on the SLI feature of Nvidia based cards by running this in dual and triple SLI to show all of the performance increases associated with the SLI technology. When running graphics cards in dual or triple SLI, the lower resolutions become very unimportant as they are more reflective of CPU speeds, and quite frankly, anyone spending $500 to $750 on their graphics cards alone will mostly likely not be running a smaller monitor with lower resolutions. For this reason, the lowest resolution will be dropped from each progression from single, to dual, and then triple SLI."

ChronoSync 4.0 Reviewed @ TestFreaks
"ChronoSync is a tremendously powerful program but can be picked up quickly and easily by the neophyte Mac user. Using a document based interface, multiple backup/sync/archive jobs can be created and individually saved. Schedule these jobs and you now have an automated back up system for an infinite amount of tasks. Did I mention that ChronoSync lets the user sync remote files and folders too!"

In Win X-Fighter AL-13 Series Case Review @ Hi Tech Legion

In Win X-Fighter AL-13 Series Case Review @ Hi Tech Legion
"There are a lot of computer cases out there that have slick designs and are different in size. When it comes down to it, they all serve the same purpose overall. They keep your motherboard and components intact. Each person out there has different opinions of their own case. At least, that’s how I think about it. Now of course, there are people out there that may disagree with me there, because they want a product that “wow”s their friends. I don’t think there is a problem with that. Every now and then I would want to have something that would “wow” people.
The X-Fighter AL-13 Series by In Win is what could possibly “wow” your friends. The In Win X-Fighter AL-13 Series design is inspired by the Star Wars spacecrafts. This case has a futuristic look, and it has fans included with the case. This futuristic look definitely makes me feel that it is a top class case."

NZXT BETA Classic Series PC Case @ TestFreaks
"A few days ago I took a look at the NZXT Guardian 921 PC case, today I’ve got another from NZXT as well, the Beta. The Beta chassis is meant to be more of a budget case, coming in at around $50, but it’s got features of more expensive cases and overall it’s a very nice case. The Beta features a tool-less installation for the optical and hard drives, enough room for four fans to keep things cool, and it’s very aesthetically pleasing. So without further chatter from me, read on to learn more about an excellent case from NZXT… "

"Besides being very quiet, the Whisper case also provides maximum room for expansion. In addition it has room for nine hard drives and six 5.25” bays. Silent operation and roominess are not the only features of the Whisper; NZXT also threw in plenty of cooling with four fans. Two 120 mm and two 80 mm fans will help keep the system running cool and quiet."

ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI Video Card @ Benchmark Reviews

ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI Video Card @ Benchmark Reviews
"Home Theater Personal Computers have been on the rise in recent years but most HTPC cases have a major flaw that makes them inherently tricky to deal with, their size. Some say size doesn't matter, well that may be true for some things in life but when it comes to HTPC's, if it's small it means limited air flow and thus it's cooling capabilities are limited. It also means that you just can't fit a very powerful video card inside of it. Even if you could, a bigger video card means more heat and we all know that heat is the number one enemy of all your computer components. So what if there was such a video card that would not only fit inside of a small form factor HTPC case but one that can perform well enough to meet the demands an HTPC requires all the while keeping it's cool? Sounds impossible? Maybe or maybe not. Here at Benchmark Reviews, you will find a lot of high end video ca! rd reviews just like many other review websites but not everyone is looking for a high end video card. Benchmark Reviews tests the ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI video card and puts it through a battery of frame rate tests to see just how well the 9400 GT performs and whether or not it can live up to the requirements of living inside of a HTPC case."

Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Heatsink Review

Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Heatsink Review
"In all other regards Coolermaster's Hyper TX3 heatsink is a compact mid-level heatsink suitable for use on AMD socket 745/939/940/AM2/AM3 processors and Intel socket 775/1156 chips (not LGA1366 however). The Hyper TX3 heatsink weighs in at 470 grams, stands less than 140mm tall, and comes equipped with a low noise 92mm 800-2800RPM PWM fan that drives 17-54CFM according the manufacturer. The heatsink is built around three skinny 6mm diameter copper heatpipes that connect a small aluminum base to the 92x92mm tower of aluminum cooling fins."

Computex 2009: Gigabyte Highlights Photo Tour
"Every year the worlds' PC makers and PC media flock to Computex in Taipei Taiwan to see the bleeding edge of technology unleashed. Intel, AMD, nVidia and ATI usually time their new product releases to coincide with the massive tech trade show, so it's always an exciting adventure. This year Gigabyte, a Tier One motherboard manufacturer, showcased three important additions to the PC marketplace. The first and foremost was Intel's new socket 1156 "Lynnfield" processor platform, based on the soon-to-be-released Intel P55 Express chipset. The Intel P55 Express is notable for a couple reasons, not the least of which is its support of both ATI Crossfire and nVidia SLI! Finally, a mainstream motherboard which accomodates both multi-videocard options! "

DeepCool Ice Blade Pro Heatsink Review

DeepCool Ice Blade Pro Heatsink Review
"DeepCool's IceBlade Pro heatsink is Xigmatek-esq looking exposed heatpipe base CPU cooler with a dark nickel plating over every inch. The IceBlade Pro is built around four 8mm diameter copper heatpipes which conduct heat to the aluminum cooling fins above. Exposed heatpipe heatsinks are good with CPUs that have large integrated heat spreaders and large silicon die's below (to spread the heat around). One or two 120mm fans can be mounted to either side of the cooler, and rubber vibration absorbing posts are supplied along with extra fan clips. A single 120mm PWM fan that operates at 900-1500RPM is supplied."

Thermaltake ISGC-200 Heatsink Review
Posted by: Ryan Morris on: 2009-06-10 19:31:13 0 comments

Thermaltake ISGC-200 Heatsink Review
"At the heart of the Thermaltake ISGC-200 heatsink is a glossy white impeller that vaguely resembles the petals of a daisy. The tips of the fan blades have a little notch taken out, supposedly this reduces noise by 3% too. The ISGC-200 heatsink itself stands 140mm tall, weighs 470 grams and accommodates one 92mm PWM fan that spins at 600~1600 RPM. If I didn't know better I'd say the ISGC-200 was released for Intel's new socket 1156 formfactor processors, except that it isn't actually compatiblea with these chips at all. Instead it supports AMD 939-through to-AM3 and Intel 775 processors."
