Acer introduces the new Nitro 5 notebook series marketed for casual gamers. The Acer Nitro 5 offers a perfect balance of gaming-ready and powerful hardware with a sharp, stylish and more lightweight design. Acer is offering the Nitro 5 in various configurations of processors and graphics cards to meet the different needs and budgets. The Acer Nitro 5 Series is the industry’s first line up to offer both Intel and AMD mobile processors.

Processor and Graphics Options
Choose between a 7th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor paired with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics or a 7th generation AMD A-Series FX, A12, A10 APUs paired with an AMD Radeon RX550 graphics. All Nitro 5 notebooks feature Windows 10 operating system and support of up to 32GB of DDR4-2400MHz memory.

Storage and Connectivity
There are different storage options available as well. Choose between a super-fast PCIe SSD of up to 512GB and enjoy blazing speeds in boot up time and application loading time or a more budget-friendly hard drive of up to 2TB. Connectivity options include a gigabit Ethernet port, USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen 1), two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port for extended display supporting refresh rates of up to 90Hz and one standard USB 3.0 port with power-off charging. For wireless connectivity, the Nitro 5 sports 802.11ac 2x2 MIMO wireless technology.

High-Definition Display and Audio
The Acer Nitro 5 series sports a 15.6-inch 1080p FHD IPS display offering good visuals for casual gamers. For audio, the Nitro 5 packs Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony technology provides incredible sound depth. Both technologies work in tandem to provide immersive experiences for entertainment and gaming.

Gaming Features
Even for casual gaming, the Nitro 5 notebooks is equipped with the Acer Coolboost technology that offers superior thermal solution that will manage heat even when gaming. The Nitro 5 also features a stylish look with its matte black chassis with a hairline finish and sleek red hinges at the back. The keyboard also features backlighting with the WASD keys outlined in red for gaming use.

The Acer Nitro 5 will be available in North America in July starting at $799; in EMEA in August with prices starting at €1,099; and in China in July starting at ¥5,499.
