
Acer have announced today a world's first ultra-wide HD laser projector specifically designed for gaming.
The 'Predator Z850' features "mirror-less ultra-short-throw technology", which according to Acer, allows for a 24:9 ratio image to be projected of up to 120-inches (304cm) in size from just 18.5 inches away (47cm).

The top-mounted Laser Diode powered lens can emit up to 3,000 lumens in brightness, has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio & up to a 30,000 hour lamp lifespan. Acer also highlights 'ColorBoost3D', a technology which allows for rich colour performance in both 2D/3D visuals and ColorSafe II, which can minimise colour degradation.

The Z850 features HDMI, VGA In/Out, Composite Video, USB 3.0, Audio In/Out & a RJ-45 Network port.
Optionally, there is a 'Wireless HD-Kit' as an optional extra for the projector. This allows for up to 1080p lossless image transmission wirelessly.
