AMD has expanded its Ryzen AI processor portfolio with the introduction of new Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series desktop processors, extending Copilot+ PC capabilities beyond mobile platforms and into mainstream and business desktops. The announcement broadens AMD’s AI PC strategy, delivering dedicated on-device AI acceleration designed to enhance productivity, collaboration and security without reliance on cloud processing.
Built on the Zen 5 architecture and featuring second-generation XDNA 2 NPUs alongside RDNA 3.5 integrated graphics, the new processors deliver up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance. The lineup is aimed at consumers, professionals and enterprise deployments, offering both standard and energy-efficient variants to suit a range of system designs. OEM systems powered by these processors are expected to arrive from Q2 2026.
Ryzen AI 400 Series Desktop Availability
AM5 desktop systems powered by Ryzen AI 400 Series processors are expected to be available starting in the second quarter of 2026 from OEMs including HP and Lenovo.
