Expected to be a 'Hard' launch with products available for sale on the day of launch, the Radeon HD 7950 will be offering the DX11.1 GCN goodness on the 28nm process that we have all been waiting for. Expected to offer a more wallet friendly price over the HD 7970 as well as a 1.5GB version expected later to offer even better value.



Release price is set at $449 and while clock speeds are not yet known we should see the HD 7950 just edging out the GTX 580 performance wise. The release of the following HD 7000 series cards from AMD is in the February-March 2012 time frame which coincides with the expected release of NVIDIA's Kepler based 700 series.
