The 7770 GHz Edition is a very popular card as it offers great bang-for-buck performance. However, the recently released AMD Radeon R7 250X is set to change that.



The 250X and 7770 are almost identical in terms of technical specifications because the 250X is a 7770 with a fresh coat of paint. With this in mind why would anyone want to upgrade to it? It's priced at around $99 which is just less than a 7770 so its good value. Just like the 7770 it has support for DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3 and PCIe 3.0 but also the newly release Mantle which will boost gaming performance for Battlefield 4 (the only game that supports it a the moment) as well as any future games with Mantle support. This isn't all, the 250X is shorter making it a great card for HTPC or compact gaming machines.

If you are a cost conscious gamer than this card offers very good bang-for-buck.
