It won't be long before enthusiasts of all stripes have their hands on AMD's upcoming Ryzen 3000-series CPUs and Radeon RX 5700-series graphics cards, and there will be another twist to the launch which will add a touch more value to the lineup. Every new next-generation CPU or GPU purchased from participating retailers will be eligible for a free 3-Month Xbox Game Pass for PC, giving users the chance download and play over 100 high-quality titles.

Included amongst the Xbox Game Pass for PC titles will be Gears of War 5 (stylised Gears 5), the latest installment of the acclaimed franchise developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft. This 3rd-person action shooter sequel to Gears of War 4 is set to launch on September 10th, fitting well within the 3-month Pass window (if activated immediately).

AMD's Radeon RX 5700-series should be an ideal partner for Gears 5 on PC. The GPU configuration - based on AMD's brand new RDNA graphics architecture - is optimised for the 1440p gaming 'sweet spot' with plenty of eye-candy, while other new technologies will improve responsiveness and visual fidelity. And of course the Ryzen-3000 series has been primed as a world-beater in gaming performance, leveraging a new architecture and manufacturing process to greatly improve IPC and operating frequencies.

The Xbox Game Pass for PC is scheduled to leave Beta status in August 2019 with over 100 titles, more of which will be added over time as they're launched or ported across to PC and optimised for Windows 10. Game Pass codes need not be activated immediately upon receiving your hardware, so it's possible to wait for a window of core games and free time to really pile on the hours where and when you want to. An introductory offer of $4.99 per month is available for the Pass on PC, but the normal price is $9.99 per month.

In addition to the new AMD hardware, selected additional products are also eligible for the promotion. These include AMD Radeon RX Vega/500-series GPUs and Ryzen 2000-series CPUs/APUs; a full list can be found at AMD.com/en/gaming/game-bundle.

For more information visit the promotion page on AMD.com and Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass for PC microsite. AMD's next-generation of hardware is due to launch on July 7th, and the promotion runs from July 1st through to March 2020 (or while stocks last).
