Amsterdam, 28 July 2015 – Display specialist AOC introduces two new 32" (81.3 cm) displays with UHD and QHD resolutions. Both the AOC U3277PQU with its 3840 x 2160 pixel AHVA-IPS panel and the AOC Q3277PQU with its 2560 x 1440 AMVA panel combine high resolutions and an extra-large screen size in order to provide power home users, photographers, designers and other professionals with highly detailed images and additional desktop real estate. Flicker FREE technology and a rich set of features contribute to eye-health and comfort.
High-resolution images in a new size
With their 32" (81.3 cm) screen size, the AOC U3277PQU and AOC Q3277PQU are two impressive new options for users in search of a large high-resolution display. The U3277PQU boasts an AHVA-IPS panel with a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, which is four times as much as a standard Full HD panel. This way, photos, text, videos, games and other content appear considerably sharper and more detailed. Even Full HD video material can be upscaled to look notably crisper on the UHD display. Users without a modern 4K compatible graphics card can still get brilliant high-resolution images with the Q3277PQU and its QHD AMVA panel. The QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels offers a vastly improved pixel density over Full HD monitors of the same size. Both of the new models cover 100% of the sRGB colour gamut (8-bit+FRC, 1 billion colours) and come with wide viewing angles as well as high brightness levels (U3277PQU: 350 cd/m², Q3277PQU: 300 cd/m²). This way, a wide range of people including demanding home users, photographers, designers and other professionals can benefit from sharp, brilliant images in vivid colours, but also from extra-large desktop real estate for viewing multiple application windows or other content at the same time.
Rich in features, easy on the eyes
In order to make optimal use of the added screen space, intelligent features such as Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes empower users to view images from two different sources at the same time. In order to keep the viewers’ eyes healthy during prolonged periods of use, the two monitors also come with the AOC Flicker FREE technology. Flickering is a flashing effect that takes place when the LED backlight controller of a monitor adjusts the brightness levels during display refreshing, which can affect the eyes, e.g. cause eye fatigue. In order to address this issue, Flicker FREE helps to reduce flickering and thus contributes to eye-health.
Elegance meets versatility
The U3277PQU’s and Q3277PQU’s impressive panel technologies come encased in an appealingly designed frame, which can be either mounted to wall mounts and racks (VESA 100 x 100) or attached to the stable and ergonomic stand included. The latter, likely the choice of most users, offers a huge variety of adjustment options including height adjustment (180 mm), pivot, tilt and swivel. Also in terms of connectivity, both monitors offer a breadth of options including DisplayPort, HDMI (MHL supported for mirroring and charging mobile phones or tablets), DVI, VGA and a USB 3.0 hub for data transfer or charging of USB devices. The U3277PQU even boasts an advanced HDMI 2.0 connector for smooth UHD video playback with up to 60 frames per second.
The AOC U3277PQU and the AOC Q3277PQU will be available in August 2015. The MSRPs are £699 and £419 respectively. As with all of its displays, AOC offers a 3 year warranty with on-site exchange service.
