PRESS RELEASE

The AOC G2590PX - Full focus on the game thanks to “3-sided frameless” design

Amsterdam, 15 February 2018 – Display specialist AOC recently announced the new mainstream gaming monitors of the G90 series: the 24.5” (62.2 cm) G2590VXQ, G2590PX and the 27” (68.6 cm) G2790PX!

Boasting a “3-sided frameless” design and an impressive feature set including FreeSync and up to 144 Hz refresh rates, the G90 series demonstrates how a display can be stylish, performance-rich and affordable at the same time. The wait is over, now, all three new models from the 90 series are available in stores!

The wait is over

AOC’s G90 series makes a bold promise: A capable gaming monitor for a fraction of the price.

All three models are equipped with frameless, 16:9 Full HD (1920 x 1080) TN panels, FreeSync support, very short 1 ms response time and high refresh rates (144 Hz for the G2590PX and G2790PX, 75 Hz for the G2590VXQ), which all ensure a smooth, ghosting-free, stutter and tear-free gameplay experience. FreeSync support improves responsiveness for supported AMD GPUs by synchronising the frame rate of the GPU to the monitor’s refresh rate in its specified range (30-75 Hz for the G2590VXQ and 30-144 Hz for the G2590PX and G2790PX). In doing so, no additional input lag is introduced by means of V-Sync whilst virtually eliminating stutter and tearing. Additionally, AOC’s Low Input Lag Mode reduces it even more: The video signal bypasses most of the monitor’s internal video processing, resulting in even more responsive experience.

Sleek design and advanced specs for less

The “3-sided frameless” design of the G90 series makes them stunning eye-catchers and super practical at the same time, easily enabling multi-monitor setups. Promoting responsible gaming, AOC also put some thought into users’ health. The G2590PX and G2790PX come with an ergonomic stand allowing height, swivel, tilt and pivot adjustments. The stand can also be easily mounted and removed in seconds, without a screwdriver. AOC Flicker-Free technology (against eye fatigue) and AOC Low Blue Light Mode (against potentially harmful blue light) also contribute to gamers’ health. What is more, the G2590PX and G2790PX are equipped with a built-in USB 3.0 hub.

Need more?

Even the most competitive, hardcore gamers would definitely be impressed with the G90 series’ specifications at these competitive prices. But AOC has even more powerful tricks up its sleeve, with the mighty premium gaming monitor line-up AGON.

Gamers whose meaty PC’s can push 144 or 165 frames per second in QHD resolution are catered for by AOC with the AGON series’ AG271QX (FreeSync) or AG271QG (G-Sync). Visual aficionados who want to experience gaming in crystal-clear 4K resolution would be best advised with the AG271UG.

Also in 24.5” size and available in stores are the lightning-fast AG251FG (G-Sync) and AG251FZ (FreeSync) for competitive FPS gamers who need the highest available responsiveness at a stunning 240 Hz refresh rate.

The AOC G2790PX has been in stores since December 2017, followed by the AOC G2590VXQ in January 2018 and the AOC G2590PX is available as of now. The MSRPs are £309, £159 and £249 respectively.
