ASRock make some great quality products and are a real favourite of us here at Vortez. They are now in the process of slowly unravelling details of their latest motherboards for Intel CPU's.

What do we know so far? Well, we know that ASRock products are awesome in terms of price and features but we also know that their new 8 series motherboards will have Purity Sound.

Purity Sound is a combination of several hardware, software audio solutions and technologies that will satisfy even the pickiest audiophiles. Including 7.1 CH HD audio with Realtek ALC1150 audio codec, 115dB SNR DAC with Differential Amplifier, TI® 5532 Premium Headset Amplifier which supports up to 600 ohm headphones, cap less Direct Drive technology, EMI shielding cover, PCB isolate shielding and support for DTS Connect.

Simply put, Purity Sound is a more advanced onboard sound card with actual high impedance headphone support that provides much higher quality audio than traditional onboard sound cards. However, that isn't all. Recently it has been revealed that their motherboards will also support HDMI input for seamless device switching.

Tired of constantly switching devices to connect to your one and only monitor? From now on just connect the monitor to your motherboard, and connect your secondary device to the motherboard's HDMI-In port. With HDMI-In users may conveniently toggle between the computer's screen and the secondary device's screen with a hotkey, or even use their secondary device without powering on the computer.

We have a small taste of what is to come as the site has 'Coming Soon' written next to 3 other categories. These categories are:

1) 2T2R Dual Band WiFi 802.11ac + BT v4.0 Support - It's any ones guess as to what this is. Perhaps its a WiFi and Bluetooth all in one solution.

2) Waterproof by Conformal Coating - This is pretty self explanatory and should be a welcome feature for any water cooling enthusiasts.

3) Home Cloud - Perhaps this is some cloud storage provided by ASRock for all those who own one of these motherboards. This is just speculation however.

We'll be sure to keep you posted when more news arrives. Feel free to discuss this in our forums.
