ASRock has officially launched Claw Quickset, a Windows desktop utility designed to simplify the deployment of local AI environments on supported ASRock platforms. First unveiled at COMPUTEX 2026, Claw Quickset automates the installation and configuration of OpenClaw, AI models, and supporting software, allowing users to set up a private AI assistant with just a few clicks.

As interest in local AI continues to grow, many users are seeking alternatives to cloud-based services that offer improved privacy, lower operating costs, and greater control over their data. However, setting up a local AI environment can be a complex process involving multiple software installations, dependency management, and AI model selection. ASRock aims to eliminate these barriers with an intuitive, guided setup experience.

Simplified Local AI Deployment
ASRock Claw Quickset is designed to streamline the installation and configuration of OpenClaw by automating much of the setup process. Instead of manually installing AI frameworks and configuring software environments, users can deploy a fully functional local AI environment within minutes.

The company positions Claw Quickset as an accessible entry point into local AI, suitable for a wide range of applications including learning, content creation, software development, and everyday productivity tasks.

Local First, Cloud Ready
Claw Quickset adopts a "local first, cloud ready" approach. By default, the software deploys a private, on-device AI environment, allowing users to run AI workloads entirely on their own hardware. Users who require access to cloud-based AI services can later configure their preferred providers within OpenClaw.

This hybrid approach gives users the flexibility to prioritise privacy and local control while retaining access to more advanced cloud AI services when needed.

Security-Focused Design
ASRock has also incorporated several security measures into Claw Quickset. By default, file access is restricted to a designated workspace, while system-level functions remain disabled unless explicitly authorised by the user.

Advanced permissions require manual approval through warning prompts and confirmation dialogues, providing an additional layer of protection while still allowing experienced users to unlock more advanced functionality.

Optimised for ASRock Hardware
Designed for supported Windows systems equipped with ASRock motherboards or graphics cards, Claw Quickset automatically detects available compute resources and configures the AI environment accordingly. Users can also choose from a growing library of supported open-source AI models without needing to perform complex manual setup procedures.

Key features of ASRock Claw Quickset include:
• One-click installation and configuration of OpenClaw and related software components
• Guided setup designed to reduce the complexity of local AI deployment
• Support for private, on-device AI environments with optional cloud AI integration
• Automatic hardware detection and optimisation for supported ASRock platforms
• Access to a growing collection of supported open-source AI models
• Security-focused default settings with user-controlled advanced permissions

Availability
ASRock Claw Quickset is now available as a free download from the official ASRock website. The download page includes the latest software package, installation guides, user documentation, and information on supported AI models.
