ASRock appears to be preparing a special edition motherboard to celebrate a decade of its Taichi series, as the Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary has surfaced in ASRock's social media posts. The unreleased model has not yet been formally announced, but images suggest it was showcased at a regional event, offering a first look at the commemorative design.

Unlike a completely new flagship, the 10th Anniversary edition seems to be a limited or commemorative variant of the existing Z890 Taichi platform - to be produced in a limited quantity like the ASRock X670E Taichi Carrara. Early reports indicate that the board retains the same core layout and specifications, with the focus instead placed on a redesigned aesthetic and collector appeal.

Refined Design with Anniversary Styling
The most noticeable change is the updated visual theme, moving away from the traditional Taichi gear-heavy styling toward a more refined silver, black, and gold finish. The board features a cleaner look with geometric accents, alongside a redesigned rear I/O shroud and a more premium presentation overall.

• New silver, black, and gold colour scheme
• Updated I/O shroud design with RGB lighting elements
• Mirror style M.2 heatsink cover for a more premium finish
• Special edition branding highlighting the 10th anniversary milestone

Leaked images also show the motherboard displayed alongside a commemorative plaque and themed packaging, suggesting this may be a limited production model aimed at enthusiasts and collectors.

Same Flagship Platform Under the Hood
Despite its redesigned appearance, the Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary appears to retain the same core platform as the standard model, including the Intel Z890 chipset and support for LGA1851 processors. Early information suggests that the PCB layout, expansion configuration, and overall feature set remain largely unchanged, indicating that this release is primarily a cosmetic refresh rather than a new addition to the product stack.

Limited Edition Positioning
Given the nature of anniversary releases, the ASRock Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary is expected to be produced in limited quantities, though ASRock has yet to confirm distribution details. ASRock is yet to officially announce the launch of the Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary motherboard.
