ASUS Adds Pro WS X299 SAGE II Motherboard To Workstation-Class X299 Line-up

With the recent release of the Intel Cascade Lake-X processors, ASUS adds the new Pro WS X299 SAGE II Motherboard to its workstation-class Intel X299 motherboard lineup. ASUS releases a trio of workstation-class X299 motherboards back in November 2017 announcing the ASUS WS X299 SAGE, WS X299 PRO and WS X299 PRO/SE motherboards. Compared to the WS X299 SAGE that supports up to DDR4-4200, the Pro WS X299 SAGE II supports up to DDR4-4266 along with other superior features including dual Intel 2.5 Gigabit LAN and support for ThunderboltEX 3 card.

The ASUS Pro WS X299 SAGE II, designed for workstations, sports 7 PCIe Gen3 x16 slots with ASUS SafeSlot supports NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire configurations. The motherboard also packs dual M.2, triple U.2, and USB Gen3.2 Gen2 Type-A and Type-C offering swift file transfer speeds. The Pro WS X299 SAGE II features the same metal-fin array design on its VRM heatsink offering superb heat dissipation for greater performance stability.
