ASUS adds the new DUAL GeForce RTX 5060 EVO and DUAL GeForce RTX 5060 Ti EVO Series graphics cards. The DUAL RTX 5060/5060 Ti EVO Series sport a slimmer 2.1-slot design compared to the 2.5-slot design of the counterpart non-EVO DUAL models. A rather distinct and unusual feature of the EVO Series is its shorter PCIe X8 connector which is noticeably shorter than the full-length PCIe x16 connector used by most graphics cards.
The new ASUS DUAL GeForce RTX 5060 EVO and DUAL GeForce RTX 5060 Ti EVO graphics cards adopt a revised PCB layout to accommodate the shorter PCIe x8 connector. This is not the only unconventional aspect of the design as ASUS has also repositioned the 8-pin PCIe power connector for these graphics cards. On the DUAL RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti EVO series, the power connector is located closer to the rear I/O bracket, which could present minor cable-management challenges, particularly when paired with power supplies that use shorter PCIe power leads.
Nevertheless, despite the move to a slimmer EVO design, clock speeds remain unchanged compared to the standard models. The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 5060 Ti EVO OC Edition 16GB GDDR7, for example, features an OC mode boost clock of 2632MHz, which is identical to that of the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition. Like the standard versions, the EVO versions also feature Dual Axial-tech fans, reinforced PCB with protective backplate, 0dB technology, and a vented metal backplate to enhance heat dissipation during sustained workloads.
