ASUS has discreetly added a new motherboard to its AMD 800-series portfolio with the introduction of the B840M AYW GAMING WIFI motherboard. Aimed at mainstream gamers and DIY builders, the B840M AYW GAMING WIFI delivers balanced performance and modern connectivity via the AMD B840 chipset, offering PCIe 4.0 support, DDR5 memory compatibility, and core AM5 platform features at a more accessible tier.

Key Features
• AMD B840 chipset supporting AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series processors
• 8+2+1 phase digital power design with discrete MOSFETs
• Dual DDR5 DIMM slots with EXPO and ASUS AEMP memory optimisation
• Two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots delivering up to 64Gbps transfer speeds
• PCIe 4.0 x16 slot with SafeSlot Core+ reinforcement
• WiFi 6 and Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet for modern networking

It is aimed squarely at users seeking a cost-effective foundation for gaming, productivity, and emerging AI workloads.

On the software side, ASUS equips the B840M AYW GAMING WIFI with its AI Solutions suite, including AI Cache Boost for optimised local LLM performance on Ryzen 9000 CPUs, AI Advisor for guided system tuning, and Fan Xpert 2+ for intelligent cooling management. Customisation is handled via ASUS Aura Sync RGB, Armoury Crate, and multiple Addressable RGB Gen 2 headers.
