ASUS Republic of Gamers has released a new BIOS update for its premium ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5080 Astral graphics cards, increasing maximum Total Graphics Power (TGP) from 400W to 450W. This update unlocks additional performance headroom for enthusiasts and overclockers, allowing them to push the capabilities of the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5080 Astral graphics cards to greater heights.
The BIOS update is available for the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition and ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 models. ASUS does not offer the unlocking BIOS to their RTX 5080 PRIME and RTX 5080 TUF GAMING models.
The new BIOS is available for download at the respective product page of the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5080 Astral graphics cards. Earlier this year, ASUS also released a BIOS update to enable Quiet Mode for the ROG RTX 5080 Astral graphics cards.
