The ROG Strix SCAR GL703, part of a hardware package ASUS ROG will be making available to competing students
London, UK, February 12th, 2018 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced its partnership with The NUEL (National University Esports League) – the UK’s largest University esports organisation. ASUS ROG will be the official hardware partner of The NUEL throughout the entire 2018 events season. Combining 28 years of innovation from ASUS, over 11 years of ROG gaming expertise and the ambitious plans of The NUEL, this partnership is expected to be one of the UK’s most exciting esports projects of 2018.
The NUEL was setup in 2010 by students frustrated by the lack of opportunities to express interests in esports while at university. Since then, The NUEL’s tournaments have grown to become the most sought- after and active leagues for students looking to represent their university in some of the most popular competitive titles on the market.
“We are extremely excited to be working alongside The NUEL in order to help students all over the UK realise their competitive gaming potential, and to ultimately represent their university at a national level in some of the most popular esports titles” said UK Gaming Marketing Specialist, Thomas Jenner. “ASUS Republic of Gamers is the world’s No.1 PC gaming brand and so it only seems fitting to be partnered with The NUEL, the UK’s most popular university esports league. We have many exciting collaborative announcements to unveil in the near future and we can’t wait to share more details with you.”
ROG Strix SCAR GL703VM gaming laptops and a range of ROG peripherals and networking products will be made available for students to compete on at LAN finals, community events and some yet to be announced activities later on in 2018.
