ASUS prepares new AMD X399-chipset based motherboard for the Ryzen Threadripper processors – the ROG Strix X399-E Gaming motherboard. It offers similar premium features found in the X399 ROG Zenith Extreme motherboard such as the dedicated liquid cooling pump headers, the plethora of fan headers and RGB lighting headers; beefy fan-cooled VRM finned-radiator heat sink; multiple M.2 PCIe slots and other features.

The ROG Strix X399-E Gaming motherboard is packed with headers including a dedicated liquid cooling pump header along with six additional fan headers. The primary M.2 slot sits under the chipset heat sink offering shared but superior cooling for M.2 SSD drives. The motherboard also features a beefy VRM heat sink with fan-cooled radiator fins that only activates when necessary for optimal cooling with silence.

Next-Gen Connectivity
The ROG Strix X399-E Gaming motherboard also doesn’t compromise when it comes to the latest technologies in networking and connectivity. The board has Intel Gigabit Ethernet along with 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi for dual networking solution. It also packs USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports provide 10Gbps links in Type-A, Type-C, and front-panel flavours, plus eight USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, most certainly plenty for a typical VR gaming setup.

RGB Lighting
The Strix X399-E Gaming layers highly customizable Aura lighting over a stylish foundation that matches a wide range of other components. Diffused RGB LEDs illuminate multiple on-board zones and combine with headers for both conventional and addressable strips to extend a personalized glow across your entire system. Addressable strips allow control over each LED individually, opening the door to advanced effects and exciting possibilities for chassis, fans, and other devices.

ASUS will be offering the Strix X399-E Gaming on a lower price point compared to the ROG Zenith Extreme motherboard. No specific pricing and availability as of this writing. For more information, visit the product page at https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Strix-X399-E-Gaming/
