ASUS ROG teases the Crosshair VI Hero motherboard for the AMD Ryzen socket AM4 platform coming this March 2017. The ROG Crosshair VI Hero would the ASUS ROG’s most-awaited gaming motherboard for the AMD Ryzen processors. It is designed for easy overclocking featuring a wide array of manual tweaking for enthusiasts to enjoy and fine tune their Ryzen-powered gaming rig in every way possible. The ROG Crosshair VI Hero motherboard supports DDR4 memory speeds up to 3200Mhz!

Cooling, Tweaking and Monitoring
The ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero offers high performance with efficient cooling and silent operation that you can monitor and tweak easily. The Fan Xpert system gives you temperature readings of all critical components of the system and the ability to tweak fan settings to address acoustics, performance and energy savings. For liquid cooling users, the motherboard has headers for a flow tachometer and temperature in/out sensors. There’s also a dedicated 1A header for all-in-one liquid coolers, a 3A header for water cooling pumps or high RPM industrial fans along with five other traditional headers for CPU and case fans.

Two-Way SLI and CrossFireX Support


The ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero motherboard equipped with the top-tier AMD X370 chipset is ready for powerful graphics setups supporting up to two-way SLI or CrossFireX. The main x16 slots are fully reinforced with SafeSlot which is an insert-molded steel bracing to reinforce the PCIe slot and handle heavy high-end graphics cards’ weight.

Customization and Personalization


The ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero features the ASUS Aura RGB lighting customization. You can find 4-pin headers for RGB LED strips and synchronize all the lighting in your gaming PC. At the ASUS ROG website, you can also find 3D printing templates for different parts of the motherboard such as 24-pin cable covers, M.2 SSD cover, SLI bridge covers and cable combs. You can make your own parts from our 3D source files or have them printed for you through the ASUS Shapeways store.

Quality Gaming Audio

The ROG Crosshair VI Hero features the SupremeFX audio that’s powered by an S1220 codec that improves input quality for streamers along with a 113-dB SNR for the line-in audio. The combination guarantees top-notch audio quality for communication. To complete the quality gaming audio package, the chip is paired with a premium ESS Sabre DAC that produces output comparable to a discrete sound card. Along with these, the ASUS Sonic Studio III software makes it easy to map audio streams to different outputs.
