ASUS ROG recently went to Berlin, Germany for its Join the Republic: Outshine the Competition event wherein the brand featured some of its latest hardware and also teased some of their upcoming products. The upcoming hardware that where present and displayed on the event include the Poseidon version of the GTX 1080 Ti, a new gaming monitor dubbed ROG Swift PG27VG, the ROG Areion 10G PCIe 10-Gigabit Ethernet card and the new Pugio gaming mouse. ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Poseidon
The ASUS ROG Poseidon edition graphics card feature a unique air and liquid hybrid cooler and the GTX 1080 Ti version of it is no different. The ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti teased at the event feature a new next-generation DirectCU H2O cooler in a large 2.5-PCIe slot design. It uses G1/4 fittings so you can add it to any existing water cooling loop with ease. The new cooling engine also features a larger heatsink that has 40% more surface area for its fins than the predecessor offering better air cooling performance. The water block cooling engine on the other hand have improved flow rate by 22% compared to the older-generation Poseidon cards, thus offer better liquid cooling performance.
The ROG GTX 1080 Ti Poseidon edition has dual FanConnect II headers for you to customize and control the fans and set profiles for gaming. The card also features the ASUS Aura Sync lighting wherein features the infinite-reflection badge on the side of the graphics cards offering a different kind of lighting effect. The ROG Poseidon GTX 1080 Ti will be available in Q2.
ASUS ROG Swift PG27VQ Gaming Monitor
ASUS ROG also introduced a new gaming monitor the ROG Swift PG27VQ that features quantum dot technology. It is a HDR-infused 27-inch display monitor with 1800R curvature. It features a speedy 165Hz maximum refresh rate with 1ms response time. It also offers NVIDIA G-Sync technology with a 2560x1440 WQHD resolution. The monitor is said to be available in Q3.
ASUS ROG Pugio Gaming Mouse
ASUS ROG is expanding their gaming mouse line up with the Pugio. It is an ambidextrous mouse featuring a precise optical sensor with a 7200-DPI resolution. The Pugio also features compatibility with the ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting customization and personalization.
ASUS ROG Areion 10-Gigabit Ethernet PCIe Card
ASUS ROG addresses the need for faster Ethernet solution for streaming 4K content, totally lag-free gaming and streaming and so on. The ROG Areion 10G NIC supports 10G networks and also offering support for intermediate 2.5G and 5G speeds. It is also backward compatible to slower 100Mbps networks. It is powered by a Aquantia AQC-107 chip and enjoys the faster bandwidth speeds of a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface.
